Ayoa | Happy New Year from Team Ayoa
We’d like to wish all of our customers a very Happy New Year, from the whole team at Ayoa.

2019 has been a very exciting year for us, full of new ventures and ambitious goals – and we’re continually inspired by our users to keep building and developing a tool that works in sync with your lifestyle. The recent renaming of iMindMap and DropTask to Ayoa is just the start of our journey, and we look forward to taking you along with us as we embark on another creative, productive and innovative year.

Take a look below at some of our favorite highlights of 2019:

Introducing Ayoa

Since the start of the year, our team were working hard behind the scenes on our next venture. The result? Ayoa (a combination of iMindMap and Droptask) was launched in June 2019 and set the basis for the company’s future. Due to the success of these apps, we knew there was a gap for us to bring together mind mapping and task management capabilities, so our users could experience the best out of both our tools. As such, we felt the time to adapt was upon us.

For us, we knew it was important to move with the times or risk falling behind. Moving forward with Ayoa allowed us to not only secure our business for the future but do something truly unique. By merging our mind mapping and task management features, we are able to allow our users to not just come up with their best ideas, but actually turn these into a reality that they can track and manage through to completion.

Since the launch of Ayoa, our team have been developing the tool and adding a host of new features to ensure we’re providing our users with the most powerful and cutting-edge tool available. So far this year, we have launched organic and speed mind mapping into Ayoa. A particular favorite of our existing users, we’re extremely proud to be able to reintroduce improved versions of our previous mind mapping features as a way to begin your projects and brainstorm either individually, or with others. Another huge launch for Ayoa was gantt timeline view, allowing you to effectively time manage your tasks from across any project in Ayoa.

Along with continual improvements and brand new feature releases, there’s still plenty more to come from us. Be sure to check out our roadmap for a full breakdown of what’s to come.

Times Square debut

“I have a goal without scoring,
I have branches without leaves,
I show the way without light,
I have ideas but have no brain.
What am I?”

Can you crack the riddle?

In October, we left many New Yorkers scratching their heads as we posted a mysterious riddle in the heart of Times Square – and asked people to try and solve it.

We won’t give the riddle away (but if you’re itching to find out the answer, check out our blog post here!). However, it was certainly a fun and creative way to spread the word about Ayoa and how it can be used as part of your everyday routines – and a definite highlight for us.

Olá, Web Summit!

Our travels didn’t stop there. In November, our team flew over to Lisbon, Portugal to exhibit at the global Web Summit conference. As well as exhibiting Ayoa, we also made it through to the quarter-finals of the pitch competition, from over 1,000 entries! It was a fantastic achievement for us and a successful few days of meeting with like-minded innovators and being involved in such a prestigious event.

webinar future of work

The Future of Work

In October, we dived into the world of webinars and launched the first of our own, ‘The Future of Work’. To bring the webinar to life, we teamed up with Design Thinker and certified Life, Corporate & Executive Leadership coach, Sharon Curry. Due to the growth of automation in business, the need for creative skills in our workforce is becoming ever more apparent – and its demand is likely to grow even higher. Our webinar discussed how businesses can futureproof themselves for tomorrow’s way of working. Click here to watch the full webinar.

Our first webinar was a huge success, and it was fantastic to discuss such a relevant and interesting topic with our viewers. Keep your eyes peeled, as we’ll be hosting plenty more webinars during 2020, as well as working with an exciting range of experts and guest speakers.

Raising awareness of dyslexia

With dyslexia affecting an estimated 10% of the population, having the tools and support available in education and the workplace is vital in ensuring that the talents of those with dyslexia can truly shine.

At Ayoa, we want to help raise awareness of the condition and show how techniques such as mind mapping can make a huge difference to the way people process and organize information. Ayoa allows users to not only develop and organize ideas but turn these into tasks with its practical and action-based features.

We are now extremely pleased to have been accepted onto the DSA (Disabled Students Allowance) list of approved suppliers for Student Finance England. With this step, we hope to be able to reach out and help as many of those with dyslexia as possible with our assistive technology.

the creative thinking handbook

The launch of ‘The Creative Thinking Handbook’

2019 was an exciting year for our CEO, author and multi-entrepreneur, Chris Griffiths. Along with appearing in a number of press features, Chris also launched his latest book, ‘The Creative Thinking Handbook’ with Melina Costi. ‘The Creative Thinking Handbook’ helps individuals and teams ‘think without the box’ to overcome business challenges and unleash continuous innovation. Since the success of its launch, the book has subsequently been translated into over 15 languages.

Chris was also featured in a number of publications and podcasts throughout the year, including a TV appearance on the BBC World News Talking Business show, with Aaron Heslehurst (watch the full interview here!). You can see all of our press appearances and features over on our Press page here, with links to watch, listen and read!

Here’s to 2020…

We’ve had a fantastic year, and look forward to reaching even further heights as we approach 2020. Over the past year, we’re very pleased to have welcomed a growing group of talented and innovative individuals to the team. As Ayoa continues to grow, we couldn’t have done it without our wonderful customers. With our sights and goals set high for the year ahead, we can’t wait to share the future of Ayoa with the world.

Thank you for your continued support and we wish you all the best for the year ahead.

The Ayoa Team.
