How to use our Career Path template

This template could be used by a human resources team to map out the various career paths within their organization, or by an individual looking to develop in their career.

To access the template, sign up to Ayoa. Once you've signed up, navigate to the homepage to create a new whiteboard, mind map or task board and choose this template from the library.

Choose the career you are going to be mapping out. On the first step, double-click on the title ‘Entry level:’ and enter the title for the entry level role for this career.

In the corresponding sticky notes, add relevant skills, training and experience required for this role:

  • Skills: What skills does someone in this role need to possess?

  • Training: What training courses are required for this role? Are any specific qualifications needed?

  • Experience: What experience should someone in this role have acquired? You may wish to include time periods within this section e.g. ‘12 months managing social media platforms’.

Continue this process for each step in the career path until you reach your desired position, or the highest position in your organization.

Use this information as a personal reference for your career development, or as a handout for the employees at your organization.

Created a template that you think others might find useful? Submit your template by following the steps below:

Open the board you would like to submit as a template. Click the settings (cog) icon in the top right hand corner and select ‘Create Template.’ Name the template and click ‘Create Template’ again to confirm.

Once your new template has opened, click the settings icon once again and select ‘Share Template’, ‘Public Share’ and then ‘Yes’. Copy the public sharing URL that is generated.

Please note that by making your template public, anyone with access to this link will be able to view your template.
