Ayoa’s Q&A with Phosphoriales
Q: Who are Phosphoriales and how were you founded?
A: Phosphoriales is the result of a long research-action associating teacher-researchers from the academic world and managers confronted with the question of innovation.
Q: How did you discover Ayoa?
A: Within the framework of our research, since 1994, we have integrated the heuristic techniques diffused by Tony Buzan and adapted them to various problems. In particular, we have worked with a Danish company to design a heuristic agenda. After trying several mapping software, we were very seduced by the graphical and aesthetic qualities of iMindMap. [As iMindMap evolved into Ayoa], this naturally led us to Ayoa, which skillfully combines the heuristic approach with time management techniques.
Q: What made you want to become a global partner of Ayoa?
A: We were looking for a solution to enrich our educational game. Ayoa seemed to us particularly well adapted to accompany the Phosphoriales method as Ayoa integrates exploration and planning tools. It is a tool that perfectly combines the creativity that is mobilized in the conception phase and the intelligence of the action that is part of the daily execution. The software also offers the possibility to set up a collective dynamic that we already initiate in our workshops. We were also looking for a way to extend it in a concrete way outside the training time.
Q: How do you think Ayoa will be used in France?
A: In France, heuristics are just beginning to emerge. It is difficult for such a Cartesian country to distance itself from the linear sequential logic that has been so successful in the industrial field.
But we need to innovate. This requires the mobilization of new cognitive resources that leave more room for creativity, intuition and collaboration. The grandes écoles, in particular, seem to be even more open than companies. This will be our first target for prospecting. But there is also an emerging need in large companies. Our role is to make it known that the actors already have these resources in them and that there are tools like Ayoa to develop it in their daily practice.
Q: What do you think of the future of Ayoa and Phosphoriales?
A: Ayoa complements our offer magnificently and gives it value. Thanks to our game-based training, our customers understand very well what an innovation process is and what the steps are; thanks to Ayoa, they will be able to implement it every day. It’s an exhilarating challenge! In a second step, we will be trained in the method developed by Ayoa. Chris Griffiths is a reference even in France and so this will be an opportunity for us to change dimension.
