Mind Mapping has been a critical element in successful project management for years, providing an easy and effective way to delegate and track tasks.
This case study celebrates the simplicity of Mind Mapping in the workplace, with Craig Schiller giving an insight into how Mind Mapping has benefited the Rocky Mountain Institute. The Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) is an independent non-profit organization, with offices across America and in Beijing. Its primary goal is to create a clean and secure low-carbon future. Mr Schiller is an Associate within the company, whose work focuses on scaling energy efficiency within the commercial building sector.
As an Associate, Mr Schiller is part of a team working on RMI’s new office building in Colorado. Responsible for coordinating the design team and tracking its progress, Mr Schiller needed a tool that would condense his thoughts, leaving them in one accessible place. This is where Mind Mapping came in.
Keen to avoid tasks being forgotten and team members lacking the right information, Mr Schiller made use of Mind Mapping for his task lists. Having all his deadlines, workflows and crucial project information in one, interactive location meant Mr Schiller no longer needed reams of paper to document his lists. Using the Gantt Chart feature allowed Mr Schiller to switch between his project Mind Maps and his task list without losing any time or vital information.
iMindMap [Ayoa] would like to thank Mr. Schiller for sharing his Mind Mapping experiences with us and showcasing its versatility as an office tool. If you have a Case Study that you’d like to share with us, please get in touch with the team at firstname.lastname@example.org
