Getting creative with our work from home desks

Ayoa | Getting creative with our work from home desks
Like many other employees, the majority of the team here at Ayoa have packed up our desks and set up camp at home in order to work remotely as we play our part in social distancing.

While we may be missing the buzz of friendly chatter at our HQ, Tec Marina in Penarth, we’re making the most of staying focused, productive and connected from our homes.

Our team have been sending in snaps of their new makeshift desks – and their furry colleagues!

Now, work is important – but having a furry friend to keep us company makes all the difference.

Our Software Developer, Ben’s gorgeous dog, Luna, is on hand to help. Or possibly waiting for a treat. It’s hard to tell.

Now someone who is definitely working hard is our Sales Executive Ross’ fluffy companion, Marley. Here she is making a Radial Mind Map to keep on top of her priorities. We might have to hire her full time.

Iza from our customer support team is never far from company with her cat, Mimi, vying for her attention.

Our Software Developer, Lewys doesn’t have to worry about nosey neighbours with his cat, Cleo, keeping guard by the window.

Now, working from home does mean you may be missing some typical office infrastructure (like an actual desk, for example). So our Head of Sales, James, got particularly creative with his new desk. Let’s just hope his son isn’t hoping for a game of pool any time soon!

Speaking of ensuring you have a proper desk setup at home to keep you healthy, our Customer Support Manager, Caitlin has some great advice for those currently perching on a kitchen stool:

“Save yourself a lot of pain and sort out a proper chair as soon as possible.”

In between pet cuddles, you can see that we’ve all been enjoying using Ayoa to not only manage our work, but keep in touch with each other via instant messaging, Task Boards and Mind Maps. Check out the rest of our team using Ayoa to get stuck into their work projects!

Louise, our Marketing Executive says “I’m finding Ayoa Chat really helpful for keeping up-to-date with what everyone is working on, what needs to be completed, and how everyone in my team is feeling!”

Our Finance Assistant, Jodie also has the tunes in the background to help her stay focused.

Our Software Developer, Peder, showing us how it’s done with all that code.

Our new Head of Development, Andrew getting started with the team using Mind Maps to help him with his daily tasks. If we can’t do it in person, Ayoa Chat is definitely helping us keep connected and welcome Andrew to the team.

And finally, we don’t think we’ve ever seen a desk as clean as Greg’s from our Polish team. Clear desk, clear mind and all that.
