Here at DropTask HQ, we are preparing for an exciting start of the year. As our customer base has grown over the past 4 years, we have been able to connect with and gain incredible insight from individuals and teams from right around the world.

Each of you has your own unique goals and your own way of using DropTask to get things done. We have learnt a lot from you and have been putting this knowledge into practice.

One thing is for sure, the way we all work is changing. And, we at DropTask are excited to keep building a task management tool that reflects this rapid evolution of the modern workplace. This year, we’ll be releasing brand new features that will revolutionize your DropTask experience, making you and your team more productive, engaged in your work, and rewarded by your achievements.

    Can you allow us to choose between classic “Balls” task interface and “my request” Leggo or rectangular “balls”.. it is so much more efficient use of space, allowing for more compact (not necessary cluttered screen)

    Any plans for a dashboard for proects with a graphical aspect.?

    ability to see all projects in one place with perhaps size showing amount of work , colour irgency?

    Need iCal integration. Stopped using Droptask as it was missing this feature. Doesn’t work for me trying to manage 2 calendars!!

    1) If you guys want to be a head above the competition, add this one function: Contact management that links to tasks.

    2) Regarding Andrew Leong’s comment: I agree about unused space, but the ball format is part of the fun. What if the main circle stayed a circle, but the attached circles become squares?

      Thanks for your comment, we always like to hear suggestions. We agree that our colourful circles are very much part of DropTask’s power and appeal. Right now, we are working on an update that will give you more flexibility as to how tasks are viewed, prioritized and completed. More details of this update will be coming very soon to those on our mailing list – do you receive our emails? With regards to the contact management – would you use DropTask as a kind of CRM system if this functionality was developed?

      I disagree. Stay out of CRM. Focus on what you do best. Instead allow Zapier or other API integrations.

      However the project list is not terrible it’s absolutely disgraceful compared to the beauty of the rest of the software. It’s not motivating. Hard to reaarrange and looks bla. Has no color. The old one that showed mini versions of the canvas was better, but not much. You need a VISUAL way to list and group projects.

      Perhaps even allow a jpeg cover image on projects.

      With grouping projects you can keep canvas smaller and have many more neat smaller connected sub projects or milestones. Instead of canvas that gets way too cluttered and messy.

    Still lacks support for iCal

    When is this coming ?

    Lack of integration makes it a challenge using Droptask – as have to keep switching back and forth
    between the calendars in iCal and Droptask – with no single view. So practically no use!

        There are some exciting updates in the pipeline for DropTask’s own calendar. With a more familiar functionality, you should no longer need to switch back and forth between tools. If you’re on our mailing list, we’ll be sending out more information on this soon. Alternatively, keep an eye on our social media channels for this upcoming update.

          Yes on the mailing list – When you have an integrated calendar or something that can
          view my Apple (iCal) calendar I will consider renewing my Business Subscription

          Currently using Things as this provides calendar integration – not as visually pleasing but functional
