It baffles me how amazing companies expect to earn their entire revenue from a tiny subset of features that most users do not need. Please consider letting all your users pay you what they wish for your amazing work: http://gittip.com/on/twitter/droptask

Hi DropTask Pro Team!

I love the visual aspect of your product. I’ve been looking far and wide for a task management system that also allows for easy Project Management… And I think I’ve found that in the visual aspects of DropTask…

I find I use one of your “project spaces” to organize everything in my life. I raise my “groups” (equivalent to my projects) higher if they are more urgent or important, and keep lower priority stuff on the bottom.

I do this mostly because your “all tasks” sections suck.

I need the “all tasks” sections to have the same filter options that I have in one project. I need to be able to filter “all tasks” by tags, priority, progress and date if I’m going to integrate DropTask into my life fully and leave other services behind…

I’m a die hard fan of NirvanaHQ and its implementation of GTD-style Areas, Tags & Contacts, and how quickly I can isolate everything in my life to one area, or context, or contact.

I need DropTask to do those things… So, while an inbox is very important, and so are reminders, I don’t personally have a need for themes or templates beyond the colors you give us already.

I would much more prefer an upgrade to the “text list” side of your functions…

Please study NirvanaHQ and integrate their functions into your visual system, and you’ll have gold!

I’m also going to suggest to Nirvana that they implement some of your visual style.. We’ll see who wins this race! Either Nirvana with visuals, or DropTask with better lists, both would be a great system I would be willing to pay money for!

Thanks for listening.

Hi David,

Thanks for your feedback – you’ve provided some very interesting insights!

I can assure you that the team will be looking into enhancing the list view and also the filters that you have mentioned in the near future. However, I’ll also add that we do have something exclusive in the works which will be released next year, and it will essentially heighten not only the visuals and the way you use your space, but also the way DropTask is implemented in your everyday workflow…Stay tuned! 😉

Hallo, heute in deutscher Sprache :-).

Hi,

We would love to be able to assign subtasks to specific people on our team and be able to edit our comments.

We look forward to what you have for us in the future.

Thank you!

+1 on the mobile app. I saw something on the site about an iPad app in the works. 80% of everyone out there is now using Android – how about an Android app? I’d definitely be up for paying $65 a year for Pro if it meant a native Android app. Since you already have synchronization with Google Calendar and GTasks, it seems like a natural progression.

+2. And +3. (I have two mobile devices…;^) )
And I’d love a desk-top App, too, for working off-line. Even if it’s just an HTML packet that updates once we’re back online…
Thanks!

Hi, my team is trying out DropTask and we’re loving it! Enough that we’re pretty much all decided we want to go pro. One thing that would be nice, though, is if there were some permissions in the pro version. We are a small publishing company and it would be kind of neat to be able to control who can view what on a project, and who has which permissions. When we created the project for our current book and added our authors to the project, we realized that they can just add or delete tasks and view all aspects of the project, which isn’t *horrible* but finer-grained permissions might be pretty cool.

Otherwise, DropTask Pro looks like a worthy app, and we’re making use of it. We’ve become more organized using it than we’ve been while using a variety of other methods. I’m really bad at organizing (and I’m in charge!), so my partner set up all of our work using DT and it’s amazing how much easier it is to really *see* what we have to do, with the DT ui. It’s absolutely worth paying for. You guys rock!

Dear DropTask,
I find the layout and approach to ToDo / Task management a nice step away from the “mundane” and linear world of lists and tick-boxes, and a big step in the direction of visual and spatial thinking. (See David Rock’s “Your Brain at Work” for some actual research that supports this way of working!)
I like the integration with other utilities (calendar etc), and find the thought of integration with iMindMap appealing – if a bit vague at present…
Is there a way to bring access to my whole address book? This would facilitate working on projects or tasks with others (maintaining of course the option for me to decide who gets informed when, since I would like to include people on a task from who I need something, or for whom I’m doing it, but who may not be actively involved nor want to be privy to my planning (or lack thereof…).
I’ve just started working with DropTask, and am still a newbie, but keep an eye on this space, I’m sure I’ll be back with more questions and wishes.
That being said, let me once again reiterate my positive perception of the tool and the approach. Makes to-do lists (almost) fun again!

Hi Drop Task Team

What a fantastic, easy and fun to use program and its integration with iMindmap 7 is superb and a dream to use. Looking forward to trying outthe IPad App when available and if you are looking a ‘beta tester’ happy to assist.

Congratulations to you and the team.

Noel
