OpenGenius Ltd is committed to conducting business responsibly, ethically and transparently. We recognise our responsibility to prevent modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation within our organisation and throughout our supply chain.

As a small technology organisation with fewer than 20 employees, our operational footprint and supply chain are relatively limited. However, we acknowledge that businesses of all sizes have a role to play in identifying and addressing modern slavery risks and we are committed to maintaining appropriate, proportionate controls.

This statement sets out the steps taken by OpenGenius Ltd to support the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reflects our commitment to respecting human rights, ethical employment practices and responsible supplier relationships.

About OpenGenius Ltd

OpenGenius Ltd develops SaaS solutions including Ayoa and Study Slam: cloud-based productivity, collaboration, revision and AI-enabled platforms supporting individuals, businesses and educational organisations.

Our operations are primarily digital, with employees working across the UK and Ireland. Our supply chain consists primarily of technology and professional service providers, including:

• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
• Software development tools and technology platforms
• Artificial intelligence and specialist technology providers
• Professional services providers, including legal, finance, marketing and consultancy services
• IT equipment and office suppliers
• Facilities and operational support services

Our information security and supplier management practices are aligned with recognised standards, including ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and Cyber Essentials principles.

Our approach to Modern Slavery

OpenGenius Ltd maintains a zero-tolerance approach towards slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation.

We are committed to ensuring that:

Given our business model, UK operating base, limited workforce and primarily digital supply chain, we assess our overall modern slavery risk as low.

However, we recognise that potential risks may exist within:

• Hardware manufacturing and distribution supply chains
• International suppliers or contractors where utilised

We manage these risks through:

Artificial Intelligence and Technology Supply Chains

As an organisation developing and integrating AI-enabled functionality within our products and services, we recognise the importance of responsible technology governance.

Where we use third-party technology providers, including AI and cloud service providers, we consider relevant ethical, security and operational risks as part of our supplier assessment and ongoing vendor management processes.

We expect our technology partners to operate responsibly and maintain appropriate standards relating to lawful employment practices, human rights and ethical business conduct.

Training and awareness

We support awareness of modern slavery risks through:

• Communicating our expectations for ethical business conduct
• Maintaining policies and guidance relating to responsible working practices
• Providing employees with appropriate compliance and security awareness activities
