Neurological differences such as dyslexia are often wrongly labelled as limiters, resulting in societal expectations attempting to exclude those with them from certain walks of life. In fact, thanks to thinking differently, neurodivergent individuals possess a plethora of unique skills that are applicable in a variety of ways. This template helps people make informed but ultimately individual decisions on what it is they want to do.

What is the Choosing your own path template?

Some life decisions are bigger than others, and often, the bigger they are, the more other people feel as though they should have some sort of say. For those with neurological differences though, along with peers, societal expectations often also try to influence personal decisions.

However, this template is formatted in a neuro-inclusive fashion of a mind map to help people make well rounded decisions by themselves on what it is that they want to do.

Why should you use the Choosing your own path template?

Whether it’s deciding what course to study, if to go to university or apply for an apprenticeship, or if upping roots and moving somewhere else, decisions in life can feel extremely weighty at times. This perception however comes from an older time, a time when there were less options and flexibility. Sometimes it takes a little while to figure things out, and this template can be your first step in doing exactly that.

Bring together a healthy mix of introspection, others’ perceptions, ambition and reality with this template to help you consider what it truly is that you want to achieve and feel that you will be able to.
