We’re really excited to announce the launch of our new Mind Mapping app for children, iMindMap Kids. Our new iPad app gives children the freedom to have fun while exploring their own ideas. iMindMap Kids encourages creative thinking and makes the world of Mind Mapping accessible and enjoyable for children at home, in school or wherever they may be.
Mind Maps are a fun way for your child to tap into their own creativity. They develop key skills for children such as literacy, recall and the ability to classify information. iMindMap Kids is their own visual thinking space that nurtures independent learning. Packed with exciting and easy-to-use features, our aim is to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers, storytellers and big thinkers.
Let’s take a look at some of the cool new features in our iMindMap Kids app:
Colours bring a child’s mind to life. Brimming with bright paint palettes, exciting Branch Art and a playful interface, iMindMap Kids is the home of uncapped creativity.
We know that images are processed a huge 60,000 times faster than text. The Draw Tool gives children an easel for artistic creations that can be added to their Mind Maps.
Children can personalise their Mind Maps by instantly adding photos using our Snapshot Camera. Within the app, children can snap selfies with friends or take photos of their favourite things.
This free-form branch drawing tool allows children to have fun with branch shapes. Branches that ‘wiggle’ are visually engaging for children, helping them to connect more with their creations.
The digital age communicates through Emojis. What better way for a child to classify information and express emotion than with a whole host of familiar Emojis?
Fun sound effects – Optional sound effects for key actions add energy and excitement to your child’s Mind Mapping experience, helping them to engage fully in a fun, creative process.
Infinite canvas – There should be no boundaries to a child’s imagination. That’s why the iMindMap Kids’ canvas is truly limitless, allowing them to expand their ideas as far as they can go.
Image and Mind Map Gallery – Children’s creations save automatically to their Mind Map Gallery. Here they can look back over their past Mind Maps and revisit any that they wish to update.
Share options – Easily share their Mind Map creations with teachers, family and friends. Explaining their Mind Maps to others boosts their ability to recall information and gives them something to be proud of.
“It’s a fantastic way for children to organise their thoughts and ideas.”
